Christ-Centred

A Catholic School is by its very nature Christ centred.  At the heart of what makes a Catholic School function is a commitment to the values taught by Jesus.  Values such as love, compassion, justice, community, liberation, promoting life in abundance, inclusion, reconciliation and hope are central to a Catholic School.

Because a Catholic School is Christ-centred it is communal, transformational and service orientated.  Christ was present to others and in turn a Catholic School strives to be a presence, through the figure of Jesus in the lives of all it serves.  Our schools need to be present to the presence of Christ in others.

A Catholic School is not simply a place where lessons are taught; it is a centre that has an operative educational philosophy, attentive to the needs of today’s youth and illuminated by the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
